To betray or not to betray the alliance, that is th question.(possible spoilers for act1 and 2)

I am curently at Stalwart Siege fighting Regent so please try to be carful not spoil anything ahead form me :)

I am with disfavoured now, which I wasnt aware untill recently ;p I understand there is a civil war now, but the way i thought it is that I work for Tunon who works for kyros and is above the conflict beween the other two archons.

My main task is to judge and figure out whos at flaut and report to TUnon on this and also help with war efforts as I do it.

So far I was unable to talk to Voice of Nerath at all, which is wierd since like I said aim servan of the court and he cant just go fussy with me even if he didnt like me choosing disfavoured for the vanguard.

I am definately not taking sides in their petty war for Kyros favour.

I dont understand how can the game think I am in an alliance with Ashe, I just went to hang out with him and help him a bit because of the task Tunon gave me.

But now I should do the same with Nerath so that i can learn his bad deeds ;p and I cant ?:O

Also now I am given the chice to 'break the alllaince'(i was unaware of ;p)


So what does that mean for the game ? what does that mean for me ?

I read somwhere it the 'NEutral way' but if i choose to do that, then I am acutaly at war with both parties rather tahn staying neutral and beeing able to communictae with them ;p

So It would be grea if someonecould clarify this thing for me(with no spoilers please <3)

How do i proceed thourth the game if I betray allainace and both parties dont want to talk to me ?

And why Tunon never asks me to report on anything ? It feels like I am just helping Ashe win the war because of some random choice in act 1. This is all odd to me :P

ANd one last question if i stay with ashe or leave him will i ever be able to talk to nerath and get on with my task?

I am kind of very very confused as to what is goiing on in this game at the moment :P

I think one of the main turns on road to betrayal is to use that option in the end of act1 not starting where you are, because otherwise you had choosen Ashe for a siege of citadel and in the end of act1-start act2 "continue" to work with him, no wonder voices still offensive, maybe there is point somewhere you can get an option to break you alliance with Ashe and continue on other route.

It is actually funny that you became aware of it at such point, i think it was clear who you side with in the war tent...

I think you misunderstand a bit your position.
There is a REAL civil war going on, there's no neutral ,as far as they are concerned..

And since you chose Ashe in that tent , Nerat considers you a traitor and an ally of the Disfavored, not a neutral Tunon envoy.

The [Betray Alliance] doesn't let you switch side to the Chorus, but simply makes everyone an enemy

Tunon sometimes makes inquiries on your status, but the judgement will only come later.
Note that Tunon is more interested in Order than Justice. That's why he wants you to find someone guilty, but only one, because SOMEONE has to rule on the Tiers.

BTW : Do not confuse the Anarchy Path (Break Alliance) with the Rebel Path (Only availale before end of Act I).

Could u explain what is the difference between the two please ?

Oh and just the last question is there any opportunity to break the allaiance in the future if I decide to side with Disfavoured in stawart ?

Each time you're given the opportunity to 'break alliance', no matter which choices you've made, it will set you on the 'Anarchy' path : you vs the rest of the world

'Rebel' path is making alliance(s) with the Tiers faction(s) : you and the rebels vs Disfavored/Scarlet Chorus

You're more or less always in alliance with Tunon/Kyros for the most time of the story.

(Then I guess you have an option to rebel against the tribunal and the overlord at some point, I can't tell, I haven't gone very far; restarted a lot of games)

There are 4 main paths in the game. Disfavored, Chorus, Rebel & Anarchy.
Once you choose one of the first three. Betray alliance always results into Anarchy path, where everyone is the enemy.

Oh ok and could I say, break my allaince leater on in the game, say in act 3 or 4 ? does that option keep returning ?

Game has only 3 acts, and yes option to betray your alliance comes up several times atleast during act 2.
