Personally, Doom is more similar to Half-Life than The Mist. The Mist was dumb, same with Doom. But at least Doom did not look as terrible as The Mist.
Your opinions are not facts.
The guy that wrote HL1 was inspired by the King short story of The Mist, which was later made into a movie.
It was an all purpose catch all response for the whole thread, not that it's really about anything,
