Somebody made a "kids" movie based of Half - Life 1

Apparently, I watched a animated kids film which had a similar idea to Half - Life 1. The plot was sort of different but it just reminded me Half - Life because well, this may sound like spoiling the movie but the movie is basically about some kid going to this high tech furture school which could be a reference to Black Mesa because of the way it looked. But later on, a teleportation device opens a gateway to the "5th Dimension" which is based off Xen. And well, aliens come out taking over the school. Which could be based of the Resonance Cascade. However, some of the aliens were very similar to Half - Life 1 aliens. And later the Protagonist of the movie and his friend to the the 5th dimension to meet up with a human hybrid alien guy who claimed he had been stuck their for a while and they end up fighting a giant creature similar to the Nilianth. And they save the day! Yeah. That's pretty much the whole entire plot of the movie and it's "similar" story to Half - Life. Unfortunately, there were no aggresisve soldiers similar to the HECU in the movie (sorry)

Applying that same logic to another movie.. then that means Doom is similar to Half-Life.
Personally, Doom is more similar to Half-Life than The Mist. The Mist was dumb, same with Doom. But at least Doom did not look as terrible as The Mist.

Personally, Doom is more similar to Half-Life than The Mist. The Mist was dumb, same with Doom. But at least Doom did not look as terrible as The Mist.

No kidding sherlock, we can blab about whatever films we like; that we think corresponds with half-life. At the end of the day it is only the individual who can decide what they found similar for themselves. It depends on the individuals of others who agree or disagree for an opinion to be more popular or not.

The guy that wrote HL1 was inspired by the King short story of The Mist, which was later made into a movie.
