Why there are Lambda logos in Black Mesa Research Facility?
There is a big logo (λ) on the wall of the Rocket Test Labs and in some other buildings... I didn't get this. Every time I saw this logo I thought I had arrived to the Lambda Complex.

Well, not the fourth time I saw the logo, because by then I had realized I'm supposed to follow these logos...

But really, do they have any meaning in Black Mesa Research Facility? I read from Wiki that the logo is "a radioactive decay constant used in the half-life equation", but nothing else is found about them (for HL1 / Black Mesa I mean, in HL2 it is a symbol of Resistance).

EDIT: I assume it's just a symbol for the Half-Life game series, like "U" with the Unreal series.
