To reiterate:
Thanks for understanding.
1 - Infinite sprint is a boomer shooter thing that the remake kept, don't think of it as a plothole.
2 - Original Half-Life's level design was mostly bad to begin with, you're just not expecting new paths either. At least the reboot tried to excuse the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ platforming or far-fetched paths you would need to take. But the vent cliche is really overused to the point of being used in Xen while making the areas more realistically accessible to anyone not Freeman.
3 - You must have played some late version of MP5 because it sucked with it's recoil in the original. Shotgun is a bit too OP in this.
4 - Cry me a damn river.
5 - Original Half-Life had no english vortigaunts either probably because they were not associated with it until the invasion.
To sum up, ♥♥♥♥ your opinion.
Hence TFC which is just the Half-Life likeness of Quake Team Fortress. They're different but mostly the same. Most never heard of the ORIGINAL Team Fortress. Probably NEVER heard of it nor ever played it. Team Fortress CLASSIC is the FIRST Team Fortress most people ever played. NOW! TFC is likely as forgotten as Quake TF because TF2 is NOW on life support. 90% Plus of the servers always empty, All old anyway.
The very first sentence of the article is the operative one for this post. ;)
2. Changing levels isn't horrible, making some areas bigger and it really feels better most of the time, though I can admit it can be annoying sometimes. I still don't get shortening On A Rail so much because it wasn't that bad tbh
3. I mean, it reloads faster but I'm more annoyed about changing reserves so they're lower which is a bigger issue imo. Also there's far worse weapons like Snarks which I found neutered a lot more and uh, tripmines are still pretty bad too.
4. I don't think it's too bad, you can still spam it a lot which is fine, I only found issues on the boss fight specifically.
5. Don't they speak Vortigese in the original? I believe they didn't know English until after 1. Also according to the wiki, the retcon between 1 and 2 for Vortigese was just how it sounds, it originally sounded more aggressive while it sounds a lot less in 2.
I almost took your post as acceptable criticisms until you said Vortigaunts in Black Mesa should speak English.
The thread is a year old and revived by someone telling the OP to kill themselves. but you decided to blindly post anyways.
lol what. So I post an on-topic response to an old discussion, okay my bad it's outdated.
Now what makes your reply particularly helpful?
I'm helping you understand what is happening and you seem fairly ungrateful about it. You seem pretty cool.
