You're alive!
Black mesa is a good remake of Half Life. One thing I found HL2 lacking is the weapon diversity in Half-Life. Less enemy variety is ok, but they could do more of the existing enemies instead of just combine soldiers all the way. Half Life have the same problem, less fight with some of the enemy types despite having more variety. It's mostly grunts, headcrabs and vortigaunts.
HL1: headcrab, headcrab zombie, baby headcrab, hecu helmet grunt, hecu shotgun grunt, hecu commander grunt, assassin, bullsquid, vortigaunt, turret, gargantua, snark, alien grunt, houndeyes, controller, barnacle, tank, apache.
Total: 18
HL2: headcrab, poison headcrab, fast headcrab, headcrab zombie, poison headcrab zombie, fast headcrab zombie, civil protection unit, combine soldier, combine shotgun soldier, combine elite soldier, antlion, antlion guard, turret, manhack, barnacle, strider, APC unit, hunter chopper, combine gunship, roller mines.
Total: 20 (23 if you count the acid antlions, zombine, and hunters from the episodes.
Total: 37 (48 if you count the pit drone, shock trooper, shock roach, voltigore, baby voltigore, pit worm, gene worm, black ops soldier, black ops sniper, gonome and Decay boss).
