There is no "correct" way to fix the issue, just drop everything to low or until you find a manageable framerate and go through the chapter.
Thank you. I did hear people saying "Xen" is even worse, which is why I would like to sort this out before I carry on with it. So you are saying it's just that chapter? I hope so, and I will carry on playing if that's the case.
You know that it will. It's the most intensive part of the game.
P.S.
On another point, it's a shame the camera movement on right stick has acceleration applied to it. I can still play OK, but it's not ideal. The camera movement in Alien Isolation was so smooth, wish it was like that in all games.
The game was designed for m+k and your gpu was at 30% because the source engine likes to use the cpu, apparently.
