Is There a Free Version?

I have the original Half Life and Half Life 2, but this mod is paid on Steam! I'm wondering if there is a free version if you already have HL2? Thanks for the help, I appreciate it!! :D

If you asking is this version of game free for users who has steam half life 2 and/or half life 1 answer on both are no. This is standalone game not an a mod and it cost 19 € however legacy version can download for free on black mesa project site but they are not updated as this is. Even buy this or play legacy versions for free.

Plus the free legacy version does not require that you own any other game.

As far as I know the original free mod still requires Source SDK 2007 installed.

Are you sure you have that one installed?
To check goto your Library, then click on top where you have the category view on "Games" and choose "Tools" instead.

Search there for the Source SDK Base 2007 and install it like you would install a game.

Hopefully the free mod works then. :)

yes you can still get the mod but good luck finding it. i looked everywhere for it moddb used to have it. the mod required you to have source sdk base 2007. if i remember right moddb has a bandwidth cap on it so it has a really very slow download.

im sure you can find it somewhere that has a faster downlaod speed. i used to have it but deleted it a while ago after completing it several times but just bought it since its on sale for the holidays for 8 bucks and deff wanted xen
