Flashlight Not Working
I've just started the first level and have been told that "f" if the hotkey for flashlight.
When I push "f" it makes the ON/OFF sounds but no actual flashlight comes on AT ALL.
What's the solution? Rest of the game works fine.

I think the problem is that if you disabled dynamic lights, your flashlight won't work. I have to test this issue my self, I'll let you know.

Update, I found the option under the advanced button in the options tab, mine has been set to very high all along and I havent had a flashlight for all of the game ive played up til now. Might work for you though nick. Maybe try changing it to a different setting and changing it back

Thanks, guys. After a lot of digging found a very simple solution...updated my AMD driver and ensured that my system was defaulting to AMD card and not Intel card.

I found a solution, but crazy how you finished the game with no flashlight!

If you have an Intel graphics card, you may be able to fix the flash light by adding the following to the launch codes in the properties of the Black Mesa game... -force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180 -dxlevel 95

Here is the "Official" fix for the flashlight.

Add these commands to game launch options:

-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180 -dxlevel 95

Remove "-dxlevel 95" after you close the game or your settings will reset every time you run the game.

Here's how to add commands to the launch options
Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
Under the General tab click the Set launch options ... button.
Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK.
Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

This info is also in the above pinned thread titled "Flashlight not working? Bug Report Thread" here https://steamcommunity.com/app/362890/discussions/0/1696045708659375849/
It goes into further detail if you're interested.

If you read the linked info, it should be helpful enough for you to figure it out, but these are launch options you can add in steam or a shortcut. Hopefully this is enough info for you and I would lay it out in all the steps if I wasn't pressed for time, but you may benefit from learning this yourself for future endeavours.

I've tried countless guides but none of them worked, I can slightly see my flashlight but in really dark areas it barley works.
