How do I earn QBITS in-game?
I've played the game for a while and still haven't found a way to obtain QBITs in-game. I am NOT going to spend money on a game that I already paid for!
Please tell me that a method to obtain this currency exists or I am gonna be pissed.

You can't earn QBITS in-game. The only way to get QBITS is to buy them with real money. Anything you can buy with QBITS is completely optional and not necessary to play the game. In other words, removing the EXO Outfitters store from the game, or totally ignoring it, has not any impact on the actual game at all.

I bought the game, so I want all the content. Simple as that. The devs should at least make players able to earn the currency without spending more money on the game. Absurd greedy business practice.

If it makes you feel any better, see it as paid cosmetic DLC that can be used in multi-player sessions, even when the other players do not have purchased that DLC. In that case, the DLC has to be in everybody's copy of the game, even if some of them are unable to use the pay-walled content.

I see that you owned Astroneer already before the in-game store was added. But why do you complain now, three years after the fact? Is there something new in the store that you would like to use in the game? If so, then it seems that there are more parties affected by greed...

Don't get me wrong, I also don't like the fact that there is an in-game store and the way it is implemented. But as long as it is completely cosmetic and optional, I just ignore it. You don't have to spend any more money, the game is fully functional with the initial purchase.

What do you mean by this? Do you mean they cant afford it or are unwilling to purchase it? Seems weird to me that walls are being put up in the first place. Excluding players from content (without a good reason) is pretty scummy in my view.

Im not greedy at all, I just dont understand why we cant customise our looks ingame for free and instead, have to rely on massively overpriced cosmetic skins or (incredibly infrequent) event rewards to make ourselves look unique. Its a minor criticism sure, but why the developers cant seem to add this simple feature which would benefit ALL players (and not just those with too much money) boggles me.

Adding micro-transactions to a game like this really doesnt make that much sense in my view, especially when you see the prices of QBITS (At least in my currency). I do ignore it, but I wish I wouldn't have to.
I want to enjoy ALL the aspects of this game, and not be locked out of content just because my wallet isnt deep enough, the game is already expensive enough!

What I mean is that players who purchased cosmetics from the store are able to use these cosmetics in multi-player sessions, and the other players can see the cosmetics on those players although they haven't purchased the same cosmetics themselves. All players in the session are able to experience the cosmetics without everybody necessarily being able to use them for themselves.

You already can customize your looks for free in-game. There are cosmetics which are available since release version 1.0. There are more options now, which were added after the initial release. But you have to pay for some of those, and you absolutely do not "have to rely" on them. And you are indeed greedy:

You are pissed about the way to obtain something that you do not actually need. That is the very definition of greed. ;-)

Officially, the store is meant to allow for voluntarily supporting the developers. I do appreciate that System Era is still providing free updates to a game which has basically been feature complete since the release of version 1.0 in 2019. And the developers have to make a living, after all. But I do not buy anything from the store, because they use most of those predatory, descpicable methods of typical micro-transaction stores. It would be more honest, in my opinion, if they linked the store as "Support the Developers" under "About the Game", and if they allowed direct purchase of single cosmetics with real currencies instead of requiring you to buy that QBits currency in fixed amounts, for example.
