PROBLEM SOLVED: "System Era Softworks now on Steam Shop's Blacklist". --- Why does this game promote a "Happy Pride LBTQ Rainbow Event" on the starting screen?

Just wanted to play Astroneer, then I saw this on the starting screen.

This has not the slightest to do with the game. There is no connection between these two topics. Why have so many games and movie makers this agenda to "educate" people?

The funny thing is: I never cared about this topic. In my country, Switzerland, sexuality is not a big thing. Everbody does what she or he wants to do, as long its more or less in privacy. Nobody really cares. This just belongs to life.

But this whole pushing-down-the-throat-activists really made me allergic and intolerant towards agenda pushers. Its not about what they push. It's *how* they push. and the pure fact that they push.

Every mediocre-inteligent persons knows that pressure just creates antipressure. Newton's third law: "When two objects interact, they apply forces to each other of equal magnitude and opposite direction."

Since this game is now involved in politics instead of being fun it got a fair negative review.
I play games to have fun and I won't touch any developers game who is involved with DEI, Sweet Baby Inc or otherwise woke agenda.

Nice to see another who gets the all actions have opposite and equal reactions thing. Id wager people wouldn't even call it pushing if it had to be paid for like all the other cosmetic stuff. I can only imagine the type of games we would all get if the same amount of effort to this crap was put into ya know, making the games WORK, be fun to play and have an interesting story. Also, I notice the Astroneer vs. NMS threads, never noticed any of this crap in that game, just sayin.

I think these games that are pushing this "pride month" rubbish is for two reasons, either to normalise it in society or to indoctrinate the younger generation... the thing is, most of the world allows homosexuality, its not punished, they are not victims and they have every right as do a hetrosexual couple does, so by that logic it could only mean that it is indoctrination.
Why do kids need to see this? why do political movements and ideology have to be in games? What IS important in video games for children is to learn to be respectful, to take responsibility for their actions and to have fun....
NOT have a sexual orientation (which accounts for perhaps 0.3% of the world population) be pushed in their faces? games that children are allowed to play cannot have violence, sex or nudity, so why have same sex relationships or people with gender dysphoria be promoted then? Seems pretty weird to me. |
Is the population of the LBQT community shrinking and they are trying to recruit kids? it really makes no sense for this or practically any game to have this promoted.

Exactly! No Man's Sky has no such crap in the game. They are just improving the game month by month and put all their energy and effort into that.

I can't take this Mr. Brumble serious. Why should I "celebrate" something that has not the slightest to do with me or with the game. And for sure a game is not the right place to fight for political rights. This has to be done localy in the countries where the problem(s) are with the proper legal tools, and not be burdened on playing childrens mind!!!

I bought this game 4 years ago to chill out while mining things and exploring.

Not be "educated" by Twitter bots about how the concept of man and woman is a social construct that needs to be destroyed and children need to have free cosmetic surgery while on a cocktail of puberty blockers and hormone replacement.

I was fine with the gays and trans not being killed for having sexual and identity dysfunctions. I'm not fine with a political movement that's trying to give every non-white, non-heterosexual, non-male person special treatment while normalizing bigotry against anyone white, straight, and\or male.

The colored sexuality flags today is the Far Leftwing version of the red encircled black on white tilted swastika, and Pride Month is a glorification of the extremist wings of sexual rights groups.

A problem is that they tend like Ubisoft to not show lgbt flag in place where they could actually use the help, like Saudi Arabia. All the characters of overwatch etc are suddenly straight in Saudi Arabia. As for the children game must not have nudity, violence, sex, well ever heard of Grand Theft Auto 5? A lot of children played it while being children and despite it are perfectly normal now that they are adults, so with the amount of children that played GTA 5 and are now normal healthy adults I would tend to consider that claim has been debunk, it is not required.

Actually, you are more the activist on this topic. It seems important to you to voice your "rightful indignation" on a public platform, instead of just refunding the game. You could also let System Era Softworks know of your opinion directly, e.g. by email ([e-mail]) or via some other channels listed on https://astroneer.space/support/, where they would actually see it. Because the developers do not read any of these sub forums on Steam other than "Events & Announcements".
