However I have never seen a base platform, or anything on it, fall through the floor when it is attached and locked. So the way to avoid losing things like this is: go mad with storage. Print out several platforms and storage blocks, and lock everything down.
The only disappearing I have is when I am gathering resources, the backpack is full, the the part where it comes out is under terrain. But early in the game when you have it all just lying in a pile? Nope, never had anything vanish.
Wow...that would be so frustrating.
This was on the Dec 2022 Cheer update, so no - the bug is not fixed.
That's the one that annoys me the most especially early game when resources are vital. The output of the gun is clipping underground and when the output is full of that resource and the backpack is full, it either disappears or it clips underground. I think it probably clips underground but I have never investigated it nor went looking for where it went.
Spotted it on the compass, and found it down in a cavern, behind two solid walls, crashed on its side. First time that's happened, but definitely a result of this bug
I love this game... But dang is it frustrating.
