Can anyone tell me wher I find the screwdriver?

yea, just do missions. They are all over the city maps... I think I have like 20 of them.

I had issues finding one screwdriver too. To be more precise, you'll find it during the quest "A whiff of gunpowder", given by Kovac in the Panic Room as said above. It's the 3rd quest.

Tools are found randomly through missions in cities, no special place to find them. Though I found only one saw up to now.

Sorry for the necro but just wondering where else you can find these?
Im level 8 right now & there hasnt been a single one in any map so far & with the lockpicking requiring it im actually stuck on some of the earlier missions.

Loving the game so far just this little thing stopping me getting fully involved.

After a while you have so many screwdriver you won't know what to do with them. Keep playing maps, I think I found the first at level 10, but then I stayed level 10 for a very long time and kept accumulating experience points.
Important loot is outside anyway, screwdrivers are sometimes in the middle of the street.

I have the same issue here.

I am doing the "whiff gunpowder" mission, and it seems I require a screwdriver to open the door that allows me to go on the balcony, at the beginning of the map.

Except that I didn't find a screwdriver yet (and I "think" that I have been pretty thorough)

Kovac should not allow you to begin the mission if you don't meet the requirements anyway.

So... How do I find a screwdriver, now that they seem to be placed at fixed locations (as stated in the releases notes) ?

Pretty sure you can just beat that door down with a melee weapon.. Worth a try, anyway. I know i've done that quest without a screwdriver (still don't have one)

Wondering if anyone is still watching this thread.. I just downloaded this game last night and played it for a while and although it wasn't something I was thinking about but found the screwdriver in the 3rd quest and even found others in other missions.

...Then today I decided to start a new game but this time when I got to the third quest I did not find any screwdriver and now I've done that map several times and made sure to search everywhere and still never found one. Then I went on to other missions and still never found a screwdriver anywhere.. Good thing most locked doors can be bashed but can't get into any of the locked chests. Anyone know if this is a known bug? and if so.... then how do I get one?? Have thought about starting yet another new game.. but hoping I don't have to just for this... Thanks.

This is called randomly generated items, most of things you find are randomly generated around the map only there is only few things that spawn at specific locations all the time inclouding quest items

Nope the Srewriver is a guaranteed droop.
Have done Whiff of gunpowder and Warring brothers each for more than 10 Times and NEVER found no Screwdriver.
But at whiff of gunpowder it can be that the Screwdriver is inside a locked Trunk
(Maybe because of this i found the last runs allways 2 Screwdriver in that quest, think they ninjapatched it)

But to loot a Map decent means not to have a 1 Second look into the room from door.
Like in real (Where People would hide or burry their good stuff) You need to circle through every Room to find the hidden items.

I finally found a screwdriver on the 3rd quest map but I had to do that map 6 times before I found it and it was located right where the first locked chest is..

I don't know how many newbies would be as patient as I was or even know they can do the same maps over and over, but oh well.. I understand its a random drop but wouldn't have thought it was such a chance of not finding it at all in the first map it was supposed to be in.
