Food is also plentiful once you prepare recipes instead of using it as it is.
Granted the beginning is a little tough, but neither food nor water are an issue in this game.
Make me an offer I can't refuse...if you lowball me I won't even respond.
The key to liquids is building your Kitchen right away and crafting either the Berry Juice or Tea, both of them will give you high levels of hydration with one item. Same goes for your food, you should look to craft things right away with the items you get in the kitchen. If you just eat the peas and canned meat by themselves you won't get much from them, if you go to the kitchen and craft a meal with them you will get more value from them along with additional bonuses.
