Sewer mission with alligators

I'm stuck in this mission, i've killed everything but one alligator is stuck floating with the press f to kill option but wont let me kill it. Do i have to go back to camp?

Nevermind ended up having to go back to camp and finished on my 2nd try.

how did you kill it im only level ten and how do you kill the turtle

turtle is killed with critical shots using fethered arrows
staying away from it is a good survival strategy too

but i need a shell dont i get one from the turtle

Turtles give a shell and sometimes a necrotized bladder, try again you will see.
Alligators sometimes drop an alligator skin, not all the time.
