Which of the games are you talking about in particular? X? X-2? Both? I suppose X-2 has had more changes because this is the International Version not available outside of Japan during the PS2 days, but that's mostly just additional stuff, not changed stuff.
10 I've played though dozens of times and I don't notice anything particularly different regarding this version of the game compared to the original Ps2 version.
Aside from the obvious remastered factors, better fps, higher res options and the character model changes.
As far as the gameplay goes it's pretty much the same, sphere grid the same same, skills and abilities the same etc.
Would have been pretty cool had they added a few new sphere grid options tbh to add more challenge to the game.
Oh really?
I wasn't aware of that.. strange how the U.S got left out like that.
But damn if I recall ANY of it now lol. And okay too about the builds not being changed up much. I probably just forgot wtf I was doing.
It was quite the surprise to me the first time I played this version, got jumped by the dark magus sisters and summarily slaughtered. I literally before that had no idea about dark aeons.
Then the Japanese got a version with that extra content, and when the PAL version was finally released, it got released with the extra content already included. The US never got an updated release as far as I'm aware.
You guys were right. Its effectively the same so far and for SUCH AN OLD GAME, it actually runs well in the remaster.
You know what I wish Devs would bring back too?
Parasite Eve :P God I loved that game.
you ignore the old guys comments and take my new comments

like what is the perfect grid,
blocking from the beginning, ...
-Rikku is missing her earrings in non CGI &..
-...no longer shouts "WOO HOO" when throwing Tidus his Blitzball in his overdrive animation.
-"Quick Hit" retain its "nerfed" mechanics vs original Japanese & NTSC PS2 version
-Tidus randomly says "Mysteries & oddities we're starting to become daily routines on this trip" during the fade to black Geogasano roared Tidus in Baaj temple->standing up scene-vs firstly usually on SS Likki when speaking with Chocobo Trainer
-Dark Yojimbo is his correct Dark Aeon texture in his Zanmato sword reflection vs normal Yojimbo
