I need recommendations games like this

Have you tried "Final Fantasy IX"? It is also a turn-base combat RPG with a good love story. Sadly, because it is a PS1 game, the conversation is only in text (no voice acting). But still a very good game, just give it a try ;)

Try checking out "Lost Odyssey".

It is a xbox 360 game with similar combat and vibes to FF10.

Easy to pickup through the xbox store if you have one on hand.

Story driven games i can recommend.

God of War 2018/ragnarok/ Last of Us, FF 8/9, MAss Effect 1-3, Silent Hill 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Life is Strange.

These obviously differ a lot in gameplay, but since you asked for the Stroytelling part i thing they should fit.

I think FFX raises the bar pretty high anyway so there is not much "similar" on that level.

not alot of games have this games overall world building depth. xenoblade games currently playing xenoblade x and its god tier bro. like the music is just nuts and the amount of recruitable npcs is like 2 dozen. not to mention all the mecha types. im 70 hours deep into xenoblade x and i feel like i have another 100 hours to go. its got some persona elements too like npc affinity

I played Life is strange/ Last of us and mass effect legendary edi, and loved it. I kinda dig the doomed romance vibe. Im gonna try ghost of Tsushima next, i dont have the switch to play xenoblade

I was looking for a modern good romance story with an rpg or action oriented gameplay. This is probably the best, the closest being the Witcher with yenifer and Steins gate but i dont really like Visual novels.

While i appreciate world building like rdr2, cyberpunk, gta, god of war, last of us, it just doesn't hit as much for me than games that makes you cry.. is that weird?

well ghost of tsushima has amazing storytelling for a game. But it is not a lovestory. More about family and honor.

Very few, only some game have a large emotional impact like FFX.
- Life is strange 1
- The last of us 1 (only in the begining tbh)
- Mass effect trilogy (only mass effect 3 have emotional impact)
- FFXIII trilogy (the 1st one is a snooze fest, but worth it for the trilogy)
- FFXV
- Silent Hill 2 original (on pair with FFX. I don't know about the remake)
- Stein gates (if youre into VN)

lol first time iv heard someone say mass effect 3 is better then 1/2 in anyway. in mass effect 2 you can kill everyone in a suicide mission at the end. in mass effect 1 you had to let someone unfuse a nuke and the other lived. mass effect 3 let you sterilizer the korgan i suppose. this tread is the most general games suggestion tread iv ever seen
