How is the PC version?

I played FFX Remastered when it came out on PS4, but dropped FFX-2 at the beginning, which I want to give a second chance.
I still have my PS4 copy, but consider buying the PC version for using mods, because I remember the long unskippable cutscenes and no option for Japanese VA.

I saw in "Untitled" Project X description "Cutscene skipping (mostly done as of 0.5.6a)" in planned section, so unsure how comprehensive is it.

Also are there other must have mods for the game?
And most importantly, is the PC stable and has no crashing or major issues?

the PC version never crashed to me, but using mods can cause crashing and green screen during CGI cutscenes.

I am specifically interested about ("Untitled" Project X) mod for skipping cutscenes after watching them first time, and the undub.
Does this mod has the issues that you had mentioned?

the mod doesnt skip cutscenes, what it really does is speed up the game to 8x. If you only use that speed tool for skiping cutscenes than you should be fine.

I've never had any serious problems with UnX, and the cutscene skipping mostly works fine. There's a spot or two where it can lock the game (e.g. very beginning at the fight with Rikku at Baaj Temple) but for the most part it does its job well.

I don't know about other users, but the game crashed quite often when I installed the UnX mod.

White screen crashes every time i get to the bit where Auron and Tidus are getting sucked up into the water ball. So so far i wouldn't say the PC version is very good at all.

I find that having the game in 2x or 4x speed during cutscenes causes the game to crash, most notably during the battle with Sinspawn Gui.

FF8R did the same thing with speed boosts, i haven't been using them in X but i only get as far as "your story begins here" followed by a white screen and crash.

*Edit* Nmv it turns the crashes are caused by the remastered FMVs mod

make sure youre on the correct language version of the FMV's then you'll be sorted with the green screen problem.

As for the constant crashes when using Mods im still trying to figure out how to fix this... Cant seem to figure it out,,, Wondering if its a memory leak.

Just tried the PC version with UnX mod.
From a quick look works good, but somewhy the controls mapped incorrectly.
On the PS4 version, X is used for confirm, and O for cancel, on PC it is reversed.

Also couldn't ignore the low res models.
Found only HD Reshade for FFX but not for FFX-2 (I remember there are unique models for FFX-2 characters), so is there any good HD mods for FFX-2 specifically?

What do you mean by "being on the corrent version of the FMV?

One might argue that the PS4 version is reversed XD

O being confirm and X being cancel is the original Japanese default (O/X being common symbols for confirm/deny or right/wrong in Japan).

Well, after buying and soon finishing chapter 2, seems like I get crashes only when getting achievements.

Thought it wasn't that bad at first, but after doing the exhausting tower fights to get the Ribbon, the game crashed because of the achievement, and this annoying af!

Is there a solution for these crashes?

What do you mean by "being on the corrent version of the FMV?

Sorry for the late reply, Ive noticed.. lets say you have the HD fmv pack for english but your VA is in Japanese you get the green screen FMV's but if its on ENG then its fine.

yes, i don't know if you still need this, but i believe doing the additional configuration part from here would fix your crashes after getting achievements (need to disable unx's steam enhancements basically)-
