FFX and FFX-2 Crashing - trial and error experience

So, like many here, I had crashing in both games. Different issues in both it seems, but I managed to find some passable/working for now solutions.

Both Games:
1. Ensure game file integrity
2. Install the UnX Mod and 4gb patch

FFX:
Should be no issues with green screens (depending on specs) or crash/freezes. I had green screens before installing the 4gb patch.

FFX-2: This was trickier
1. Same mods, but I turned graphical settings to medium instead of high in the game loader. Still using 4k and speedx2 (not 4 for x-2 as it bugs the game a bit in battle) and haven't had a crash in hours. I used to crash every hour or so.

Seems its pretty random for many people - I'm assuming small segments of code didn't agree with the port + the architecture is still x86, limiting the memory storage.

At the least, install the 4gb patch and if that doesn't help enough, get the UnX mod (btw UnX allows exp ALL, so you don't need to switch).

I don't understand why so many people have crashing issues with this game. It's never happened to me and I play on a device that isn't even specifically designed for gaming.

That's part of the problem. It only seems to happen to SOME people.

It's also never happened to me, on three different systems. So I can't even investigate it myself, since it doesn't appear to be happening to me.

But it does happen to some people, and very annoyingly so. It's proven quite elusive to track down and identify the exact culprit.

well i have the same issues ( ffx-2 steam pc windows 11 ) and i have tried everything i could find -.- but nothing helps. Battle crashes - Cutscene freezes - or randomly shut downs
