do not miss the many points of no return
at the end - grind 500 hours of Blitzball and 172 hours of Gil
current day games have alot more bussy work. ment to get your brain moveing and dopamine splashing so even if you stop playing the game halfway you dont go was that even fun? cause the dopamine rush and how they have refined the format down to a T
Well, in general FF games are not exactly known to be super difficult, but the older ones do tend to be a little bit more strategic. You can't just mash buttons and have things happen like you can in many of the more modern ones (like FFXIII-2 that literally has a "just spam" option).
FF games don't really require dedicated grinding to beat story parts, even though some players like to do that just to make it easier (and how well that works depends on the game in question). Most of the grinding tends to be confined to the endgame/postgame content, when it comes to optional superbosses etc. FFX in particular really wants you to go HARD on maxing stats and making all the best weapons if you want to beat the superbosses. But those are optional, extra content. The story part isn't like that.
So, how do you beat the old FF games? You just play them. If a boss seems hard, think about what your options are, and what your characters can do other than just attack. Or if you really must, sit there and grind mooks for half an hour, and you're USUALLY fine. But even that may not be necessary, especially if you're an experienced gamer who reads what abilities do.
if you saved in the place of sin and water - you might have missed some stuff already
also if you enter sin before 500 hours of blitzball - blitzball is very easy actually
But of course that part about having been a stupid child is not really true, or at least I like to think that it isn't. Reality is, times were different back when games like FF10 came out - we all were far less used to gaming, even those of us who played a lot, and a lot of things just seemed a lot more complicated than then actually were.
I think you'll probably realize that quite quickly if you continue playing FF10, because aside from a couple of slightly tricky fights, it's a very easy even without any intentional grinding, and a rather simple game to wrap ones head around.
That being said, grinding for level-ups is always an option that will get you across pretty much any obstacle should you somehow get stuck. So there isn't really any "loop", it's more of a question that you always ask yourself.
Which is, "Can I continue the story?"
-> If yes, follow the mostly straight path and continue the Story.
-> If no, find a decent spot to grind Experience until you can continue the story.
but if you go to the community - you get more insight
even in the community there is not all information
In other words.. this thread is a chance for you to pump up your streaming numbers?
Nah, just an idea. i don't think FFX have many veiwers anyway. probably if you're not speedrunning or something no one wants to watch ya.
