So is LUCK the absolute best stat in the game?
this is my 5th or 6th time playing the game, so I thought I'd spice things up by playing around with the sphere grid from the start.

I used the parameter menu to give me lots of spheres, so I've been putting Luck stats into empty slots and clearing any stat slot that isn't max (aka anything that isn't +4, etc).

I'm doing exceeding well, so I'm assuming it has to be because of the luck stat. Is it really the most powerful stat in the game?

Luck boosts party critical hit rate, accuracy, evasion, and chance to avoid being hit with a critical hit. 1 point of luck equals a 1 point increase to accuracy and evasion as an example. It's an incredibly helpful stat to boost especially with the special bosses like Dark Aeons.

I mean, if you want to simplify things... then sure, Luck does affect more things than any other stat. Makes you hit more and harder, makes you get hit less.

Then again: it's not just about raw power, because Luck doesn't just come for free. It's also by far the hardest stat to raise, since even the regular spheres needed to fill its nodes are from a superboss. It's incredibly annoying to farm.

Kind of? If you can raise it indiscriminately, your chance to dodge, crit and connect with attacks goes through the roof. It renders both Accuracy and Evasion quickly obsolete. I imagine you'd be quite a bit more overpowered if you raised your Strength or Agility or even your Magic indiscriminately, but yeah, it's a pretty powerful stat.

Per point Luck is the most potent stat specially endgame, and it allows you to reduce the amount of nodes used for other stats.

But i would say early-on it is Strength and Speed that are more important:
Strength goes into the forumla as "str*str*str" - getting +10 Str from 30 to 40 will more than double your damage, gaining +10 Luck will only give you a small increase in hit/crit-chance. And Speed cause.... if you are too slow you won't hit the enemy before you are dead.

To be fair, though, it's not like you have much of a choice. You couldn't even get +10 Luck if you tried during most of the early game. There's like what, 4 Fortune Spheres from chests and stuff, or something? In the entire game? So even if you put those all in +4 Luck nodes (which are rare to begin with) you'd get a whooping +16 on A SINGLE CHARACTER.

So yeah it's true... but it also isn't a consideration because it's not like you can CHOOSE to go for either STR or LCK. Not really.

True that, i was just going of the theoretical point if you could choose what stat to get :P
