Dark Magus Sisters WTF! [Solved]
I've read alot of crying about jumping the easy lightning strikes.
I've read alot of crying about the easy 0:00:0 Chocobo time.
I've read alot of crying about easy catching butterflies.

Why aren't I reading more crying about these vile Superboss Witches.
They start with full overdrive.

1st turn - Ambushed.
Mindy - Passado = insta kill
Sandy - Razzaria = nearly dead (40 000 hp damage)
Cindy - Delta attack = Dead
GAMEOVER.

2nd attempt - Pre-emptive strike (Woohoo)
Hyper Mighty G (Auto-life, protect shell etc)
aload of quick hits and attack reels [12 hits]
Call an Aeon - Shield

Cindy - Calamity = Immune (status won't hit Aeons)
Mindy - Razzaria = Aeon Dead
Sandy - Delta Attack = Party Dead (removes Auto-life)
GAMEOVER.

I don't want to Zanmoto. I've killed everything (except penace and these nasty bints) legitmately. There's got to be a way!

Edit - Big thanks to TheOne320 and ShinkuTear. I never knew you could fight them alone. They're actually really easy.

You can fight them separately if you get it right.
ShinkuTear May 30, 2016 @ 3:05pm
When you get near them, on the map, they try to chase you. If you run away for long enough, the battle starts with each Sister being alone. If they catch up too quickly, you fight all 3 at the same time.

Honestly, I don't have the patience necessary to deal with these cheap superbosses. This is stuff that should have been left out of the game, IMO.

You do not have to fight them. They do not really give you any cool stuff.

ahhhhhhh, I've been fighting all 3 together.

Okay so i'll dry my sad little eyes and try it your way.

They're impossible to take on as a trio, I've maxed my stats but the Aeons are still so low on HP.

I know, which is why I wonder why they were included in the first place. They didn't even bother giving them unique models, shows how much effort really went into these grindfest excuses. Also, you are forced to fight at least one of them if you don't collect the unique items in the areas they're blocking before the endgame (such as the Sun Crest or the Jecht Sphere in Besaid). It's a beginner's trap since most people playing this game for the first time are easily going to miss those.

The only one you absolutly have to contend with if you miss anything the first time through is Dark Valefor. You can bypass Dark Bahamut using the teleport pad outside the stadium ruins.

Didn't know you could get them one by one ; ;. Btw what i did was to sacrifice an aeon on the their first overdrive then nuked Mindy then Sandy and almost wipping Cindy.

If you want fight them together you must have you own Magus sisters aeon. Call them before dark sisters will use their thirst attacks. On their turn they will kill 2 of you sisters and third will be killed by delta attack but you party include Yuna will survive. After this make sure what you will eliminate atleast one of them before they again get their overdrive gauges full all three together. The fat one require less luck to successfully hit, so start with her. individually dark sisters will use only mega-gravitation on you party that inflict different bad status and can kill you if you have low life, so atleast one ribbon recommended. If you want darl matters for ribbon you may farm dark yojimbo with this cheap armor - auto haste, auto-protect, deffence +20, for the last slot it could be auto-potion, auto-phoenix or stoneproof. Even with wakitzashi on ambush he won't kill you party if you have 9999 hp and max 255 def stats. For succsefull hit rate yojimbo make sure what you have around 140 luck on you characters. Just kill him 4 times and repeat process. (Dont kill him 5 time or he will gone and you couldn't farm him anymore). If you overkill him with 99999 damage he will drop most of time 2 dark matters and armors with stats like: ribbon+3 free slots (very rare) ribbon+hp break limit (rare), ribbon+curse proof, and etc. You can sell unused armor to get money for bribing as well. Good luck on you try! P.S. and sorry for my terrible english.

Not if you want the Sun Crest, which is in the same room that Dark Bahamut automatically engages you in, far beyond where the teleporter lets you port. Dark Shiva also blocks the way to the Macalania destruction sphere treasure with no workaround.

2 year necro.
And even worse - with false information, as 2 out of 4 versions do contain the dark aeons.
Omnises Jan 3, 2020 @ 11:55am
I presumed they're American and therefore would play the version with no dark aeons.

So you pressume they are in the tiny minority. Most of the world is not the US.
Omnises Jan 4, 2020 @ 2:38pm
You're literally just picking a fight where there doesn't need to be one, lol.
Sorry I wasn't extremely precise with my wording. Perhaps I should have said "You should have played the NTSC release of Final Fantasy Ten for the PlayStation 2 released in 2001".
You know as well as I do that the liklihood that the OP is American or Canadian is pretty damn good.
Besides, Dark Aeons are all optional content, not required to beat the game. These superbosses are easy to ignore if one were to prefer a game without their inclusion. The fact we're on the discussion page for the Steam release of the HD rerelease of FFX/FFX-2 should be evidence enough of the futility of wanting to play a version of this game with less post-game content, to which only exists in the earliest versions of the game back in its original release.

Can we drop this now?
