Aurochs Reels for Wakka

I know their avalaible because i made a seperate save and reset date and it was the first prize but i really dont want to relevel all my characters again because i still have to do a league after this for his final piece to celestial weapons

I dont know how many times ive dont the Tournament save reset but its refusing to show up after so many tries At this point am i forced to reset my data ?

You don't need reset the data. Just finish the actual tournament/league and after the last match just hit "back" when asked if you want to continue on blitzball. Save the game. Selec to play blitzball and see if the prize is the one you want. If it's not just close the game, reload and check again.

People are making confusion with soft reset (reset the game, close -> open -> load) with reset data from blitzball)

No trust me i know how it works ive reset the tournament prizes somewhere around 30 times it never showed up once

Reset Blitz data once and there it was first tournament prize

So i just Trudged through and about to finish getting my final overdrive for wakka. But it sucks because all my chars were about lv 20 or higher and that took about 3 damn hours

Just keep trying. I got the last overdrive (Auroch Reels) and the Jupiter Sigil doing soft resets (no data resets). Just had to close, open e reload the game a lot, but they finally showed up.

Auroch reels is not a league reward its a tournament reward. And yeah after 30 tries nope thats a extremely annoying and boring it was much easier just to reset date and boom theres my auroch reels.

Now the sigil is gonna be a pain in the ass and im gonna have to keep resetting till i can get that as well cuse now i have to relevel all my blitz players to easily get it.

I know I'm bumping an extremely old topic, but I couldn't find a definitive answer anywhere and was having this exact problem. After doing some testing, I think I figured out what's happening and how to fix it, so hopefully this will help someone else.

I was in the exact same scenario as OP, I could reset the tournament prizes all I wanted, but Auroch Reels would never show up. Even after locking in the current prizes and then entering and exiting until it timed out and started a new tournament, it still wouldn't show up. After doing "reset data", it would show up immediately, so I definitely had all the requirements for it, so I decided to test a theory.

After winning the tournament currently being held, the very next tournament to show up had Auroch Reels as the first prize.

I'm guessing that, while you can reset the prizes being offered, they are being pulled from a specific pool of prizes that has already been locked in, so resetting will never get the Reels to show up because they aren't in the current pool. You have to reset the pool by actually completing a tournament with the current pool, then it will have the Reels added to it.

That would also explain why "reset data" would make it show up. It's discarding all the current pool data and making a new one just like it would after the current tournament completes.

Yeah if you let the tournament that holds Attack/Aurochs Reels expire without playing it, the game gets stuck in a state where it won't put them as prize until you either Reset Data or finish a Tournament, since those are the only two things that 'fix' the state. It's probably a bug with them forgetting to make a tournament expiring do the same.

I'm not sure if it even needs to have shown up in the first place. I was only playing to unlock the reels to begin with, so I would have noticed if they had been listed as prizes.

I never even touched Blitzball after getting Attack Reels because I knew I didn't have enough fights yet to unlock the next one. That's why I'm thinking the "pool" of prizes had been decided way back then, and didn't update until a tournament had been completed.
