Yojimbos No Deal below 225000
I am trying to get Yojimbo cheaper but on the second bid where he is asking for 225000 he refuses everything below.
I've already tried all the amounts i could find, restarted the game several times and went as far as offering 224999. But he accepts nothing of that.
I could not find any specific information on how this could be affected by progress. Does anybody know how this works?

I have not defeated Yunalesca and do not have the airship.

125,001 > 150,002 > 175,003, then accept 203,000. That's how I always did it, and I'm sure that's the method most people use.

The only problem that you could have is that you MIGHT HAVE POSSIBLY saved after Yojimbo's first rejection.

When prompted, choose option 3 "To defeat the most powerful of enemies".

Then offer 125001 --> 112501 --> then pay 200000.

No idea why he's not accepting the second offer unless you chose a different dialogue option maybe.

Thats the thing. I always chose the 3rd option because i know the underlying mechanics. But i have already tried the 112501 3 times after the 125001 and it does not work. I also have a save after i defeated Yojimbo and before i enter the chamber.

112501 is not the amount. The second amount is 150,002 as stated in the first reply post.

Those amounts in that post are the exact stated amounts in the original guide. And have always worked for me. With the 'most powerful of enemies' option chosen.

And fwiw there's a gil booster in this version so just give him what he wants and bribe the rest of your gil away if it feels like cheating having it.

I appreciate your attempt at helping me, but as i have already mentioned - and just confirmed again - any amount below 225000 i have found on the internet does not work. This includes the 150002, leading to "No deal."

Someone else for example did the 125001 to 175001 to 182001 and got the deal. Which of course also fails when i try it.

So there must be something else affecting it. And that is why i am asking.

I actually had the same thing happen to me when I tried to haggle with him. Followed the old numbers/way to cut his price, but eventually he just stopped accepting anything under 225000, so I had to go with that.

I also tried to get him for lower than 225k (Which i've done multiple times before on the PAL PS2 version of the game) but I couldn't do it in this version. Had to buy him for that price.

I always just gave him the 250k.
This guy forces you to spend hundreds of thousands (if not millions if you like to use zanmato) anyway, so what difference does 50k make :steambored:

I'm just going to go ahead and necro this because I'm replaying the game for the first time since the US PS2 release and had the same issue: the numbers commonly found online weren't working.
I just had success with 150,000 > 175,000 > then he accepted 205,000.
