[FFX-2] Question regarding 100% Achievement
I hear multiple times that NG+ is mendatory in FFX-2 for 100% Achievement. But how does that really work? (Please no spoilers. I have never played FFX-2 other than around 30 minutes in my whole life. If I didn't mind the spoilers, I would have just googled it instead of asking it here)

Do we have like different plot lines that alter as you make different choices / talk to different people? Or do we get the exact same plot line, except... there are certain missable objects?

I ask this because I wonder if save-scumming is a viable method of achieving 100% achivement as FFX alone is already taking too long to finish one playthrough with 100% achievement. I can't even start imagining the trouble I would have to go through for playing another FF series, but this time twice!

You can get 100% in one playthrough, however, there are quite a few things that can easily be missed/wrong choices.

It terms of getting every item in the game, like accessories and creatures......then yes, a NG+ is almost a certainty.

There are different endings to the game depending on your % completed, but a simple Youtube search can show you all the FMV's of the end game.

Oh just to clarify, my version of 100% Achievement is just regarding the Steam Achivements, not necessarily FULL STAT + FULL ITEM. So I can do it in one go? or is it still hardly likely unless I hog a walkthrough the entire game (which just breaks the game for me, so I wont :( )

In that case, no. All achievements can be awarded through one playthrough. But some of those acheviments are kind of annoying, like listening to all of Machen's stories, or Sphere Break....etc.

It's possible to get 100% in one playthrough, but I'm pretty sure you can't do that without a guide and without spoilers.
There are two major story paths for a total of aproximately 110%, so you can probably do your first playthrough without aiming for the 100%, then follow the other path with a guide to get it.

Kind of both. There will be a certain point in the game where you are offered a choice - you will know what it's about when you get there. In order to have the *chance* to get 100% in one playthrough, you must choose the Youth League.

However, there are so many small, minor, easily missed events and dialogues, that contribute minuscule-but-necessary percentage points, that it's borderline impossible for someone playing without a guide to get 100% in one playthrough, and even moreso for someone who's playing the game for the first time. Imagine how frustrating it would be to get to the end of the game, only to e.g. realise you're stuck at 98% due to missing, say, a 20-second scene back in Chapter 2.

X-2 is structured in such a way that in any given chapter you have a couple of 'story missions' that will advance the plot, but the majority of the game content is hidden away in optional missions and sidequests in other areas.

My suggestion - take your time and just enjoy the game for what it is, explore everywhere you can, and don't stress about percentage completion the first time through. Then on a New Game+ consider looking up for what you've missed in a guide, and doing more of the postgame content.

There's a total of 105% available which you can get by going with the opposite 'choice' to the one you made in the first playthrough, so it should be even more forgiving.

If you really don't want to play twice, then you're going to have to choose between 100% or playing without a guide, I'm afraid. Bear in mind that the reward you get for 100% is only an additional scene in the ending, which you could just as easily look up if you wanted to.

Hope this helps to clarify.
