Tidus too low health at the Thunder Plains?

So I'm at the Thunder Plains and encountering tons of creatures using thundera and my tidus, who is at 720HP seems to constantly die all the time. Should I grind?

I remember the Thunder Plains hitting pretty hard, but I think they were doing 75% of my life, and not the whole thing.

(At least on the PSvita) I think you get a thunder resist shield in one of the chests there.

The Larva and the Iron Giant were the fiends that gave me the most trouble. For most of the fiends in that area, you can have Wakka use Silence Attack and you're (pretty much) good to go, because they won't be able to cast Thunder/Thundara.

Your Tidus' HP is a little lower than mine. Mine was around ~1,000-ish. You should be fine though.

Yeah, definitely. Also, using Haste with Tidus works amazingly well if Wakka or Yuna aren't able to go before the enemy.

To let the bad things beside: The thunder plains are really good to level up your characters. It makes everything after much more easier if you grind them there over 1-2 hours.

LMAO 720HP on Tidus? your VERY under levelled for this area. My suggestion would be the same as other posters, flee to get that shield at Rin's shop (but at that low you probably have not got that skill yet). Switch to higher levelled characters to make it through, or in guadosalam buy thunder protection gear. OR go back a few areas and power level your characters by cheating.. use the speed up game x4 (F1) and the instant heal/overdrive helper (F2) in battles to help you until you feel you can make it through Thunder Plains. I DO NOT recommend cheating though, it takes from the game, it's just another option you have to level faster.

I think you went a little bit too quick, because thunder plain was not that hard. Don't hesitate to farm in the plain and to ease it add adapted armors (protect from thunder) and adapted weapons (water I guess for most). I think Iron Giants (in the north part) give good XP.

Sounds like you rushed and skipped lots of battles. When i reached the thunder plains I could 1-2 shot all of the enemies and at most thundara would do 200 ish damage to me because there are SEVERAL shops before entering with every single persons armor having Lightning ward on it which negates 50% lightning damage.
