Jecht Shot troubled

Well, I've achieved the striker shot and it is supposed to mean that I've learnt the jecht shot, but i can't use it in the blitzball match versus the luca goers. So i don't know what to do.

u have to wait half-time and put it instead of sphere shot (sorry bad english)

You don't get a tech slot until Tidus levels up once, in the first half of the blitzball match against the Goers. Then you can switch techs, from Sphere Shot (which is automatically selected) to Jecht Shot.

assuming that tidus has no defenders to break through, the sphere shot actually gives a higher SH stat than the jecht shot does. But early on, tidus' EN stat is too low to tank any tackles, so jecht shot is preferable. Its still not guaranteed in that first match though. Sodding RNG lol

Just make sure you're as close to the goal as possible to not lose any SH on the way.

There's still the modifiet that can add up to a 150% boost to the goalie's CA stat. I have had a 40SH vs a 32CA (even after distance has been deducted) fail because of it.

I have the same issue...I unlocked the jecht shot (achievement and all, yet even with a lvl3 Tidus (2nd half Luka championship match) all I can equip is the sphere shot

Jecht shot is amazing, you need to level tidus to 3 or something to unlock tech though, which is around half time, the first round you have to just pass the ball around and keep it from the lucas. Jecht shot beats 2 defenders, so theres no need to break, just make sure to be close to their goal to score. You can even take on 3 defenders later by breaking trough one and shooting the other two. Another thing to keep in mind, the further you are from their goal and shoot, the lower your SHoot stat will get, enabling the enemy goalie to CAtch the ball.

After the second half, select Tidus and he will have the sphere shot equipped. Select the sphere shot it will open a menu that will allow you to select the jecht shot.
