Why is most of the cast in FFX horrible?

Yuna is a doormat.

Auron is pretentious as hell.

Wakka is a huge racist and 90% of his lines are him ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about machines and al bhed.

Lulu is just kind of a ♥♥♥♥♥.


Kimahri may be the best character in the game, and he's unfortunately borderline useless in combat.

Clearly you have never heard nails on a chalkboard because your hyperbole is actually disgustingly inaccurate and ridiculous.

Tidus's English VA is not that high pitched, or whiny, and furthermore, you clearly didn't listen to the frequent interjections from Tidus after each mini-plot development when he is recounting the story at the end. His voice is completely normal, deeper, and not at all annoying in those lines. Which actually amount to more dialog than his in-game dialog.

As for the rest of the cast, and characters, you don't appear to have beaten this game before. I'm going to go ahead and ruin it for you since you are a douche anyway. Auron isn't pretentious or arrogant. He speaks from experience of someone who is literally dead. He DOES in fact know better than all the characters, especially when it comes to their specific quest, because he has been on this exact same quest before.

I just realised the VA for Tidus is the VA for Ratchet in the latest game and he sounds brilliant. So I think the editing and execution of recording the VA is where Square Enix had gone wrong.

I found all these characters to be more flawed, in a way that was sorta fun watch. They felt more human, had more of a personality and were more enjoyable/relateable over someone like Cloud where it feels like only sandpaper could relate. But this is always subjective, of course you'll think differently as I'm sure no one has the same opinion on everything.

Tidus is a cry-baby and even admits it just outside Djose temple, so you have correctly spotted an intended trait, well done?

Yuna is a young girl, some are easily swayed on decisions. Again though well done on realising an intended charcteristic.

Auron, as another point user pointed out, has done this entire trip before, had to listen to Jecht ask the same questions Tidus is asking all over again and so much more info inside him like what Yunalesca will say and so on. That means he is not pretenious as his experience is important and his words are taken based on merit. Can't even give a sarcastic well done to this one.

Wakka, is a racist yes as he hates a race based on false information, so yes he is a racist. You make up statistics, this says alot about you. Wakka being a racist is a bad plot device? Or poor charcterisation? But I guess you can have a well done.

Lulu is kind of a B, okay, that's a subjective matter so you are free to feel that way but it is not a critique I'm afraid as it is subjective and I for one don't agree that being a B is even a fault within a person as people can have reasons. So again no well done, in fact I have to say this was your worst work yet.

Kimahri, hate him myself but I can guess why you would like a hornless guy ;) oh look FFX bants aren't I funny?

Anyway overall I give a D grade, you tried but overall I feel your best work was wasted by marring it with false statistics. Try harder in class!!

On a side note @ Dr. Raven, for a male protagonist I agree Squall is the worst, but only for male protagonists.

Squall has Renzokuken, 255% accuracy with 100% critical, he is 10 fold better than Wakka.... (also he's not racist as hell like Grand Wizard Wakka that throws a beachball)

I don't even see how anyone who got past the first stretch of the game would think Lulu is a b*tch, she clearly cares deeply about Yuna, has already failed to protect one summoner she loved (Lady Ginnem, who is in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth), was deeply hurt by Chappu dying but learns to come to terms with it and move on. Plus she warms up to Tidus to the point that she volunteers the exposition he needs to keep up without him having to ask.
