Abilities for Aeon
What are good abilities to teach your Aeons? Any good guides on this topic?

Can't the Aeons just heal themselves by casting their element on themselves?

It's generally considered a waste of items because Aeons get less useful the longer you play.

Ok thanks for that. I will then not skill them.

Only those that actually absorb an element can do that ^^ the other ones need curative magic. Also elemental magic healing is reduced by your magic defense while curative magic healing is not so having Curaga is preferable eventually. That being said you still definitely want to teach all of them the -ra and -ga variants of their own elemental spell. And Haste. Gotta love Haste.

I definitely recommend teaching all of them Doublecast, especially if you can do the Remiem Temple Race. You'd end up with 120 Three Stars anyways and chances are your only use for them is using them one by one in battles so the 5 per aeon on 6 aeons aren't gonna hurt your stock much.

@Karifean

What are you fighting with Aeons that late into the game? Haste and Doublecast are nice, but don't really give you any advantage. 1 Aeon is never going to out-damage a party of 3.

They only time I would give Aeons abilties is to make up for other characters being underleveled. For example, get Sleep Buster if Wakka doesn't have it.

You don't use them for the advantage. You use them for a change of pace. Plus you can get those 60 Three Stars when you first hit the Calm Lands which means you still have Belgemine's aeon duels ahead of you so there's that too.

That makes sense :) I don't really like using them becasue having only one character feels really limiting and they don't really last very long.

Teach them what you like,its your game.
I personally wouldn't bother with life or full-life though.

Depends how you will improve them, my Anima is capable of killing all main story bosses, and almost all Dark Aeons, it is fun to watch (play)

What's your Anima doing outside of the usual strategy of spamming Oblivion?
