You only played it on the RPG mode setting, I guess? There's manual control for combos etc. as well, making it play like a 1 vs 1 brawler that's edging dangerously close to the concept of a 1 vs 1 fighting game.
Wouldn't blame you though. The whole problem with that game was the PSP itself. Specifically the downright abysmal analog control with that @#$%!&# slider nub.
Way to go now this Thread is gonna be closed.
You could have told me from the start.
Besides I already bought the game 3 times and own the Collectors Edition.
Don't go start assuming I don't support the devs just cus I play it on an emulator.
It is the only way to play the game online and as a dedicated fan of the series I don't see why I would not.
Thank you for your understanding.
Yeah because Steam definetly features active moderation. Considering how much emulation has been mentioned on this forurm there are quite a large amount of posts which have not been deleted.
And the PSP is not capable of online play (unless you have a PS3/4 for ad-hoc party... But try and find players for that now...
PC the emulator currently has an active community and people play everyday.
We have a Discord and a big 256 slot Hamachi server.
You can even legitimitly buy the game on your PSP/Vita system download it and then port it over to your computer... (Assuming you wouldn't own it already ofcourse)
Just like anyone else here it would be a dream come true if we get Dissidia with Steamworks on this platform and I can assure you I would be the 1st in line to know about it and the 1st to get my hands on the game aswell.
Anyways ill update this post with a few links so that IF anyone is interested in playing Dissidia 012 with the community we can help you setup.
Take care everyone.

In Dissidia 012 Squall kept his "Golden Combo" (Thunder Barret > Solid Barrel > Upper Blues > Beat Fang) while dodge cancel has been removed. However there is still potential for combos . For example.Squall: Thunder Barret into Blasting Zone/Fated Circle. The new Assist mechanic made comboing still entertaining and good. And Assist is also a good way to trap players or to get out of sticky situations.
The game is not a masher. If you mash in Dissidia then you don't know how to play that game.
