How does experience work? Trying to level up Rikku as she is behind when u get her

Is it based on time on the field? Or dmg accumlated? Not sure, trying to level up Rikku so she can catch up to everyone right now

Just have her act once in an encounter and she will gain exp. All exp is the same regardless of damage or time...just act once with every character and they get the same ♥♥♥♥.

Best bet is to defend at first as 1 hit from most things will kill her.

Yes if you intend to 100 percent the game as her ultimate weapon is pretty damn strong. Also another reason but I am not sure where you are so don't want to spoil anything but she does have a very handy ability.

I use her cause she has a faster animation then other when doing normal attack which speed up my game play because at max level.... everyone is doing 99,999 anyway

Yup...the levelling is ridiculously easy in this game...find a slow enemy that drops a shed ton of exp and just bring out everyone to defend before killing it. Once Rikku can survive a hit without defending make sure you steal from EVERYTHING.

You should spend some time using her in every battle so that she can actually survive and then eventually fight back.

Press triangle (or w/e triangle would be). Everyone has it by default (not shown on grid)

As long as you character takes an action in battle.
skill, attack, steal, item, mag (not defend). they'll receive exp, providing they survive the battle.

Overkill(ing) your enemy rewards you with +50% AP.

You do exp for defending...unless it's just me of course.

Defend works as the one action. Or did you mean something else?

Rikku probably has the best Overdrive in the game, so yes.
