Grinding spot FFX
I'm working on my end game stats and completing the whole sphere grid for all of my character and to get my way to Penance as well and I'm doing my grinding in Zanarkand Ruins. Is there any other place I should check out when grinding? I tried Omega Ruins but I still lack some items to customize a full anti-ailments against the Demonolith and Mimic are just pain in the ass because they always one shot me and it takes a lot of time to finished a whole fight and get a minimal amount of AP. -_-

Do you not know the Don Tonberry trick, then? Read this: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/197344-final-fantasy-x/faqs/13619

Thank you! But I'm not sure if my character level are up for it. My highest HP character is Auron with 5k.

And? The lower your HP, the better. It'll only target one character at a time, which you just revive. The whole point is to have low-ish HP to take as much damage as possible.

Jeez bro. How in the world did you get to end game grinding already. I haven't even gotten to the desert.

That's not so impossible if you know what you're doing. In 20 hours I got to the end of the desert, and I play rather slowly, never skip a text box and talk with all npcs. I also got attack reels.

If you already played the game, story progression is not slow, especially if you never grind during the story (to add a bit of challenge and not kill everything with one shot) and leave it for the endgame content.

I already played the game before when I was a kid and finished it without doing the other content, just the story so it was pretty fast for me because I know where to go.

If you aren't actively setting out to beeline towards Don Tonberry, Omega Ruins really are your next stop after Zanarkand Ruins.

It basically goes

Zanarkand -> Omega -> Don Tonberry

The reason being that you need some decent stats to get the Triple AP weapons, and Omega works well for that. Just try to avoid the Demonlith and Malboros. Stick near the save orb, is what I'm saying.

Grinding monsters is baby mode. I advise you to check guides on the "AP trick" and "Stat maxing" here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/197344-final-fantasy-x/faqs
Yes, they're 14 years old.

Be wary that the sphere grid system allows you levels of minmaxing you never thought were possible. Good luck!
