kimarhi can be ignored BUT it is worth leveling him up rikkus path in expert grid just to get some levels for a solo battle later in the game and for getting the lancet overdrives (question is kimarhi the only person who gets a scripted solo battle in the entire game, not counting yunas aeons or battles prior to besaid)
ignoring the few times you are missing a character for plot reasons you shouldnt have any problems providing you save often in case you need to grind
Not at all, as I progress through the story every time I get a lvl on a character I put the 3 people with the lowest ap until level into my party and fight with them until the next level up, this seems to give me a pretty balanced party with all chars around the same power when you account for strengths and weaknesses
Though I just let them attack at least once just to get equal EXP.
He's just a jack of all trades, or try to be I guess? Or like a '2nd' someone.
I dunno, I also don't like BLU's in general so ... but he's a cool character otherwise lol.
But thinking from a realistic standpoint, it would be wise to keep everybody's Sphere Grid in check. It becomes a real pain later on when you have to spend a while moving around the Grid leveling up characters just because you neglected to do it for so long.
Rikku is actually really good if you give her a weapon with... I wanna say alchemy?
Whatever doubles the effectiveness of items.
It's only in the endgame that Yuna can outclass Rikku as a healer.
