I swear every time I play this game it gets harder. I don't even want to think about the temple chocobo race at this point.

I swear, the 0.00 time is only possible if you get the five balloons lined up on the ramp, and even then you still have to get up to twelve and 36 seconds or less on the clock while still dodging those long-range homing birds.

I got this 0.00 today pretty fast. Around after 30 minutes. But it was hard.... I sweared a lot while playing that. And I usually don't swear when I play games....

Nevermind! Complaining about it on the internet did the trick, like always.

No but seriously, I finally did it. I remembered that in trying to dodge the birds, you miss a lot of balloons, so instead of dodging the birds I tried to get as many balloons as possible.

Turns out, it's easier tp dodge birds doing that as well.

I already did that first visit to the thunder plains this playthrough. In other version of the game I had to wait before finding a no encounters armor, but the toggleable encounters makes that easy.

Pretty sure you have to if you're doing it for Kimahri's celestial. The prize rewards change throughout the game, if I recall correctly.

Usually takes me ~10-15 tries to get it, this play through however I pulled it off during the first race to unlock it so I was happy bout that.

Correct. Don't even try the butterfly game before you have the airship (as in can go up to it any time). It's one thing to put up with that mini game, it's another thing entirely to do that minigame for nothing (useful).

you dont have to wait till airship (yes you have to wait and come back to get the upgrade item) but you can do the first 2-3 catches while there. and come back and the last one (since your unable to do it before this anyway) unless its changed. but yes you can do the first ones and get them out of the way
