PC controls for Blitzball?

I totally forgot and trying to figure out how to shoot!!

Seriously pressing every button only one I know of is v to change control from manual to auto and literally can't even find the pc controls for blitzball online. Such a pain!

It's the same button you use to skip cutscenes.
Have a look into your control settings.

Weird, that's the key I've pressed and it wouldn't pop up for a menu to shoot or pass (the key is "z").

Try Y maybe?
When my game says "Press Z" I need to press Y because of my keyboard.

Well I think I remember in the tutorial it was even z! Really odd.

It's "z" for me as well but I did notice a considerable delay between pushing it and getting on screen options, I might be wrong here but I sort of recall something similar on PS2 about timing the shoot/pass options to the games placement of near by players.

Z is to bring up the action menu. C brings up the skills menu, and V brings up the formations menu.

6.5 years .... six and a half years my friend. And no, lulus overdrive never was good and "works" on PC but seems to have been made even weaker ( does not matter if you use a controller or keyboard - the number of casts you get is just low).
