Making your Chocobo jump

Seems to me there was a way to make Chocobos jump to navigate some of the higher places you can access in the game. Cannot quite remember it though.

It can only jump when there's a yellow feather on the ground.

Press the action button near yellow feathers (X for Playstation controllers, A for xbox. Not sure about keyboard)

It's "B" for X-box controllers, since "A" makes you dismount the Chocobo :)
