The post from the OP is misleading.
The only thing that is inferior in this game compared to the original is the facial expressions. The faces themselves look fine when not displaying any emotion also everything else looks vastly superior in the HD remaster.
Eh, I get what OP is trying to say he just didn't word it right. Just because one thing is inferior to the original doesn't mean the "entire thing looks worse".
Also, it's not really an opinion that the facial expressions are inferior, the Chinese people Square Enix outsourced the game to didn't do as good as a job as the original Japanese devs.
An article on gamesradar about the faces, even comes with a few comparison photos so you don't even have to read the article.
I actually liked the new faces A LOT more. The old faces look too bloated in some areas.
The new faces showing less emotions is not subjective, you liking them more is.
The new face models ruin it for me.
Ok, I get it. Somehow you can tell better in the original wheather Yuna is angry or not (maybe eyelashes?). In the HD Remaster you can't. I mean, at least in this scene.
It's probably not even the remaster tbh, I think the style in general just reminds me of a mop or something. Or maybe a scottish terrier lol.
