What is everyone's problem with FFX-2?

I have played FFX and enjoyed it but never played FFX-2. What makes FFX-2 so bad compared to FFX?

Feels kind of a doujin game story wise, made for teenage girls and idol-loving otaku. Exasperating and childish characters (not even a well made badass to make it up a bit), uninteresting storyline (Not sure it was necessary to do a follow up to the FFX's story anyway), crappy jpop theme songs and underwhelming compositions (that tells a lot about the marketing target)...

Combat was good (and so was the combat music)...and that's it. Pretty fair bashing if you think about it.

You can't compare the greatness of Buffy's dialogue, humor and character development to their counter part in FFX-2.

Yeah, actually this was confusing me as well at the time. I also never understood why they added Paine in the game, couldnt they roll with Lulu ?

The developers answered this at one point they felt Lulu's personality wouldn't fit with the actions of the Gulwings.

Visually her design was clearly modelled after Squall. In terms of personality not particuarly while she is more serious than Yuna & Rikku but she still has frequent moments of levity but is just far more dead pan.

yuna is pop star and you need to complete 100% of the game to have the full ending, aslo the game is based on chapter so if you miss any chapter you need to replay the whole game again

why FFx-2 is SO bad

1) You only get 3 characters to play as now - Yuna - rikku and pain..............a moody emo lesbian with NO character or personality and no back story. Almsot no characters interact with her and the characters which DO ...well there interactions just go no were

2) They go on and on and bloody ON about babies/periods and various other girly crap which wasnt needed. If square enix wanted to be realistic they might as well have had the x3 girls hate each other by the 2nd part of the game.

3) All your past beloved characters - ruined - we now see past characters look bored out of there minds and seeming as if there really unhappy. Kimarhi looks unhappy, wakka looks unhappy, lulu looks unhappy and fat.

4) A CRAP battle system. Your 3 characters can now instead of having over-drives or summons or amazing things like that........heres a stupid dress system which all 3 of the characters can use which makes there individuality utterly useless. Instead of any over drives you have to look HARD for the ability to turn yuna into a crappy flower.........rikku a robot was it? and pain a giant version of herself with silly legs................thanks square enix. They took everything which made X amazing and then took a crap on it

5) Dull world - seems without the problems of the last game the world and places you go back to now just seem rather boring. Like almost of if no one cares about them anymore. Didnt they turn zanakand into a tourist place or something?

6) Boring as hell grinding for no reward. Seriously the battle system in this game is crap.......yet it wants you to grind A LOT for almost zero reward. Its almsot as if you have the story to 'The Green lantern' and then during every battle your forced to play SNAKE on an old 1997 nokia phone and you HAVE to do it over and over again to get anywere

7) Yuna's odd character change..............ok so she went from being yuna to a world wide singer..........whos a bad ass with x2 handguns.................alright......................

8) crap original character stories - when you meet the old team you can do side stories for them....which are just crap and add nothing to the game and reward you with basically nothing. Wakka's being perhaps the very worst. Lulu doesnt even have a side story she just gets completely shafted

9) A totally bell-ended story. Seriously who ever wrote this crap must have been on DRUGS! a hidden giant robot monster under the building?................and a ghost clone of tidus who isnt tidus and a ghost clone of yuna who isnt yuna. Not at any point does anyone mention how this giant machine under the building MIGHT have helped them against SIN in FFx? or how once that battle is done they all just walk away?...........ok........hidden place found in building with loads of secerts etc etc but we killed machine boss so we just gona walk away now...

10) God awful villian. Ok so we have yuna, rikku and never-been-touched-by-a-man fighting against a snobby woman and x2 clowns who fail ALL the time? then at the end after battleing each other all the time the girls just make-up and be friends??

11) stupid ending. You work hard and either get a crap ending, an ending with parts missing from it so they can claim its a normal ending, the proper ending but you have to work seriously hard for it and even then once you get that ending it doesnt make a whole load of sense. i expected the story to be about yuna trying to get on with her life and then trying to find tidus. Instead it just goes on about clone yuna and clone tidus who are just moody teenagers ........sorry GHOST teenagers and then some crappy looking boss

12) Voice acting - it might just be me on this but i swear to me it sounds as if the voice actors for this game just cannot be bothered. Yuna used to have emotion in her voice as did the other characters. In this it just feels like there doing the star wars epsidoe 3 scene were anikin says 'i love you - no i love you....then love must be blind........ha ha....look moody'

FFx 2 is basically everything wrong with final fantasy as its the start of when things went bad for the series. Now we get a 80+ hour tutorial in ff13, a crap add-on in 13-2 and then a joke of a game with 13-3 which almost feels as if square enix themselves just rushed the game because they didnt give a crap anymore

Well the future of the FF serie is kind of dead to me now, and Squix doesn't seem to see what most of the people hated about FF13 (hence the sales drop) and is probably doing the same mistakes with FF15.

Now Atlus, give me Persona 5 on PC !

true is, i like all main serie Final fantasy games....yes..i enjoy FF7 and im enjoy FF 13...FF6 is great too:)

All of the classic Resident Evil games can be completed in well under 4 hours fairly easily. I don't see how that's a strike against Zero when no one holds that against the earlier games.
