Double Cast flares/ultima is sooooooo good, especially when you have a weapon with 1mp cost + magic booster + break damage limit
She is strong the whole way through the game as well, assuming you are targetting weaknesses.
Auron has both incredible hitting power and very useful abilities like Power/armor break, Sentinel and Entrust.
Plus I never really liked Kimahri anyway.
Wakka is the best candidate to teach the break skills. Even if he doesn't know all of the break skills, it's still a better set up than bringing slow old man Auron into the party. Even better if you give Wakka any extra strength spheres.
Lulu and Auron's low agility is just crippling.
Plus if Lulu or Auron gets KO'd for any reason, you have dead weight in your party that may take a looong time to remove.
His overdrives are useless once everyone is hitting 99k anyway though, so his usefulness in late game is rather low.
And you'll almost never need all four of them. Two at the most. Some enemies can even dispel those effects anyway. In which you'll want to be able to re-inflict them immediately. And Auron will struggle to do that.
So dont use him.
I do like Auron, so I use him.
Easy as that.
