Lulu's Overdrive with Steam Controller?

Not entirely sure how to do it with a steam controller, anyone know how?

The highest circle count was 4 with my steam controller. I'm changing some parameters of the right touchpad and testing whether it helps to gain more circles. But otherwise the steam controller works quite well with this game

Protip: You'll never be able to fill the meter completely without maxing Lulu's Magic stat.

I know this is old, but for the sake of any future googlers: the game has keyboard support, letting you mash left and right arrows for her overdrive. So I set my controller up where holding a button alternates left and right repeatedly (just use activators and cycle binding). Makes the overdrive a piece of cake.
