Can't change the language to English

When I use the launcher, I select settings then English. When I press "Ok" I get the following error http://i.imgur.com/6WiGEE7.png

Anyone have a resolution to this? I finally got the game to work, but I can't enjoy the game in a language I don't understand.

control the Game-files for Errors.... (right click on game name in the library, propertys, game datas and then the 4. ... )

Is this a solution you actually tried? because I did "Verify integrity of game cache" with the result of still not being able to change the language.

i have ♥♥♥ audio and text.. at the very least i want english text.

Go to my doc/square-enix/finalfantasyx|x2/ there should be a settings ini file you can edit it there

soo i recently bought the game to and im also having the same problem with the same warning message. anybody know a fix for this?

mines still working fine when i start the game up, only re installed it a couple of hours ago, cant you just change the language when you start the game up, as it has a setting button and its first option is language?

Not sure if anyone is stilling having this issue but mine was connected to my antivirus. I use bitdefender which was blocking changes but it allowed me to add it as a trusted programme. Not sure if other antivirus could do similar things
