Arranged or Original Soundtrack?

you can change it in game menu what you want..you have both all time..bassicaly:)

original is little better, arranged have higher quality..personally using arranged..sounds more crisp and surrounded.

I prefer original.

The arranged music is garbage. The person responsible is a hack. I'm not sure what he/she was going for.

Depends on preference, honestly. The original one is generally softer and more subtle, where the Arranged one has stronger melodies. I'd say the former is generally better for storytelling, while the latter is better for more tense moments and combat.

Overall, I personally like the Arranged one better.

HD version has a few variants to the song because they are from the Piano Collections album for FFX, the Via Purifico song is just epic....

Gotta honestly say that running on PCSX2 at 4K looks better.

Not at all

The new soundtrack isn't just "updated" music with modern, higher quality sound. The tracks are completely new arrangements and totally change the tone of the originals. Some people might like them but they are in fact very different than the original tracks

It really depends on which song for me. I didn't look into it yet to see how difficult it would be to choose for each one.

In particular they butchered Tidus' theme by removing the harmonica. I also prefer Via Purifico if I spelled that right in the original version far more than the arranged version. I don't feel the piano version of that song matches the dungeon and I feel the original song in game has a much better feel as a game song than what they replaced it with.

Some like Yuna's Determination I really like both versions.

Did you disable DPI scaling for this version, which you need to do for that?

Oh wait, you don't even own it. Nevermind...........

I've heard people mention that the new tracks drown out the dialog a lot more than the old tracks. I haven't played this remaster yet, but has anybody here had problems with that?
