Only if you run the files separate from steam.

i thought the english subs were from the english audio meaning the english subs with ♥♥♥ dub may not be totally correct

Yeah, it works for me! German text and ♥♥♥ voice. Downed the Yuuka link. Copied. Started launcher. Checked German Text. Started new game and voilà.

Ya I was just trying to gage how accurete they were at the start, its one thing to hear the origional voices but if everything you read is not what they are saying, it throws it off a bit for me, since I can understand peices of each sentence but not enough to just run with out subs by a long shot
Then there are people go far in game and no problem with dual lang, so the "due to technical reasons" is the fword-king lazy of doing some code work of some SE lazy coders due to low wage. Thanks Mr Obama and Mr Abe.
However Thanks for the mod.

It's for the audio drama that's included with the game, that you select credits for

not sure if this has been done yet and I don't mind either way but it would be nice to have a secondary mod to have Japanese subtitles linked to English audio so that it replicates the original PS2 FFX as it gave the choice of subtitles to go with the English audio. (also I noticed some people wanted their preferred subtitle language linked to the Japanese audio).

Yes Spanish and Japanese was requested yesterday. For example. Whilst English & Japanese is fine for me, would be nice to have Japanese audio and other subtitles, ie Spanish, French etc.

Mod should work with any language that uses English dub as long as you load it through the launcher after replacing the exe files

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the subtitles will be for the English localization. And that localization has substantial changes to the script. So you'll be listening to the Japanese voice actors while reading subtitles that don't accurately reflect what's being said.

I get not wanting to listen to the English voice actors (especially with the more grating voices, like Tidus), but the mismatch between the spoken lines and the localized subtitles ... dunno. Just makes it hard for me to want to implement the change.

Any direct translation projects out there?
