ffx was the last true and great final fantasy game. I felt so sad at the end.........i was so happy when x2 was announced.........then i played it and wanted to be sick
Thats what always confused me. The post credits scene is exactly where x-2's true ending begins. Were they planning x-2 even back then, or was it just to prevent true closure?
RIP Auron.
Its was....different. The game was still pretty good though. Just maybe too much of a change in tone (not to mention attire. Incognito as Rikku put it...)
I personally disliked X's original ending and was fully on board when they brought Tidus back in X-2. The whole dream thing at the end of X was too rushed IMO, not enough attention was given to it (actually, not enough attention was given to Tidus in general. One of the problems I have with X). I might have been okay with the ending otherwise.
You thought the whole dream thing was rushed? There pretty much hinting at it the entire game, Not to mention the little kid that keeps talking to him (The Fayth). Not bashing or anything, just intriged as this is the first time ive heard this opinion :)
I saw the ending again for the first time in 15 years last night....when yuna said 'i love you' i did cry again a little
i think thats why i hate X2 so much. When you play it its almost as if its an insult to the 1st game. Yunas character has changed so much that shes not even the same person by the end of it. When tidus does come back would he even like new different yuna?
I also noticed today when i started playing x-2 but did they have a limited budget on this one? the graphics seem to have taken a downgrade and look as if im playing a low quality vita game
Based on the ps2 versions of X and X-2, X-2 did have better graphics, backgrounds, and real time shadows.
As for the HD version, the 2 games look similar to me. Only main difference is there is no remixed soundtrack for X-2 which is likely due to the fact that it was instrumental to begin with.
Like I said, I just felt not enough attention was given to it. Tidus just accepts it without questioning anything, for one. He's also immediately okay with his eventual fate. Also, Auron knew all along that Tidus' Zanarkand was just a dream, yet the only way you find that out is in a completely optional and easily missable conversation with him inside the airship (and Tidus doesn't even say anything, I guess he got used to Auron keeping important ♥♥♥♥ from him).
FFX-2's ending was just a result of whiny fans that weren't satisfied with the ending of FFX.
