FFX Monster Arena Bug

I got this bug where the monster arena area list does not show, even after capturing all calm land monsters, getting the reward for it, and fighting his first "creation".
The Nirvana chest did not appear either.
It still only shows the Calm lands monsters and I can't fight any of them or do anything other than see the two pages and exit. I've now got 10 of all of them and yet there's nothing I can do. How the hell can I fix this?

I have the same issue, not sure why and it prevents any further progression in monster arena =\...

I've tried using save editors and memory editors to fix it, and it still doesn't work.
Not even reseting them to zero works. Monster Arena is completely bugged out for me.

I think because i completed Mt.Gagazet's monster capturing before completing Calm land's entry and thus triggered the fight with Mt. Gagazet's area conquest monster, and that might screw up his dialog.

I went back to an earlier save before calm land, completed calm land entry and the chest appeared.

I vaguely recall hearing about this bug before... was this a known bug with the PS2 version of the game as well, I wonder?

Yes, I had this bug on the PS2 version as well, though I have no idea what exactly triggers it. I did not visit Mt. Gagazet before entering the monster arena. The only thing I did was do all the chocobo minigames before entering the monster arena. I can't remember what I did on the PS2 version. Either way, I have some really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck for running into this twice...

All I can suggest is to try catching at least one of every monster in another area to hopefully update it when you speak to the monster arena person but I doubt it will work. :/

Already tried that and everything else.

I sent an email to SE support and they said it is not a glitch, i sent them the link to this page and hope they will look further into it.

Although i don't have much faith in their support....

best bet is to restart from saves before calm land.
