FFX-2 automatic AP farming?

My current setup is:
Low Strength job + Speed Bracer + Recovery Bracer
Use Mug (Treasure Hunter) on Flan Azabache in the Battle Simulator

Of course, I'm only level 30 or so, but the damn thing only ever Demi/Bio/Absorb, so it takes a while for it to kill me. Just keep fighting it over and over... using Joy2Key to have R3 toggle auto-repeat the C key.

I was wondering if anyone else had a good setup using the Battle Simulator? For other levels, physically stronger jobs and such. I know there's a guide on GameFaqs for auto-farming AP, but it doesn't cover the Battle Simulator, and the strategies are just... not automatic enough.

Fight the giant robotic tank in monster arena and apply barrier and +10 physcal defence to the party.
The boss have alot of health but will only deal 10 damadge each attack.

I think the ap farm before get the triple ap acc is a waste of time.

Generally speaking the AP "trick" is a waste of time. Your most efficient way to gain AP is to make sure your actions generate AP (Mug is very good for this) and to try and kill something with every action (not entirely necessary, but global AP is good). Every time a monster dies your party gets 1 AP (2 if oversouled), so killing things helps. Just mug your way through monsters with increased encounter rate on. As an added bonus you can get EXP and even useful items from this approach (steal mega phoenixes and such from oversouled things). Also keep in mind you can only gain 99 AP in a single battle.
