Yup. And while Lightning's given name in the west is Claire Farron, in Japan she's still called Éclair. Which is the French word for -- yep; lightning...

In Lightning's case, her name was americanized to appeal to a US audience. The change from Vanilla to Vanille seems weird though.

I still think blurring things is dumb.. If it wasn't blurred in the original leave it alone in my opinion.. The new battle scenes are waaaay too zoomed in.. What are they thinking..? Why mess with something that's not broken?

I wasn't a fan of the blur effect for Birth By Sleep HD ether. There were some shots that didn't need it.

FFX remaster took 3 years before coming to steam. This will be released in 2017 for ps4, so im guessing 2020 for steam release? FML

unfortunately, that doesn't fix the fact that licencing and company contracts delay it. welcome to legal hell.

Absolutely awful characters development except for Ashe who steals all the attention, but that combat system is amazing.

Keen as mustard for this to come to PC.

its is nothing like 13 NOTHING, note even remotely close to that trash. but to be honest if 13 had gameplay like ff10 or 12 i would be all over it and not be hating on it despite its inane plot.

also the main character isnt actually vaan, its ashe, balthier/fran, and basch. also the story is leagues ahead of 13's illogical plot and was a nice change of pace compared to the previous romancy plots of ff10,9,8,7. Now dont mistake me as a fan cause im not, i just wanted to make it clear 12 is nothing like 13. if anything ff12 is more similar to ff 11 and original ff14 mmos. yes there is no battle transition like in ffx or 13, in 12 you just run right up to the mob and start fighting.

for example you can control the whole party yourself or use the gambit system which is basically automode. you can even adjust the speed of combat to be faster or slower. And cant forget the gameplay time is as long or longer than the ff13 and possibly longer than the series combined but idk i hated the gameplay. I did beat ff13 in 25 hours. played 13-2 never beat it was more annoying than 13 and 13-3 was just garbage not even and rpg in my book, more like an action adventure game.my ff12 save was over 100 hours and i still had characters under lvl 99 and missing summons and 1 hunt left.

btw vaan is better than lightning, at least he isnt a whiney b***h.

Just my thoughts and opinions. if one doesnt like then so be it. i really like ff12 its one my fav rpgs next to valkyrie profile 2 and drakengard 2. besides there is a ps2 emulator you can try it yourself

You can really stop with that whining now, we get it, you don't like DoF. Here's some good news for you though, a PC version will very likely have an option or a mod to turn it off. DoF is usually a bit taxing on the hardware, especially the bokeh version, so a lot of games have an option to turn it off and seeing how FFX/X-2 HD Remaster has a lot of PC specific graphic options, there's a good chance that the PC version of FFXII will have an option for depth of field as well.

Nah. Aside from van and penelo, they all got some interesting stories. Character development in ff12 is unlike any other ff games, where each party member has their own story. All of the members have intertwined stories that make up the whole plot. Just like the storyteller in moby dck, vaan and penelo act as observers.

I have to say tho, this game perhaps the most complicated story in the series after FF8 and FF13. There are lots of political stuffs, betrayal, lies, and names to notice.

Not to be confused with the horrible Xenosaga series LOL, yes a remake of Xenogears with PS4 graphics would pretty much be worth more than any FF remake that could be made. Love Xenogears.

Waiting for the 2018 PC release, though I think XII is one of the worst FFs, it's not a bad game and I might like it more now that I can go back into it with lower expectations.

FFX isnt dual audio. We just have a mods to make it so. Based on the ps4 release of ffx, we either get ffxii after 6 or 12 months.
