Cheapest Yojimbo
So i've been playing around with the bargaining mechanic and my old cheat sheet for PS2 shows that i can get him for 187,001. I was wondering if anyone else got him for cheaper?

125001
175001
182001
buy for 187001

if he says no, just try and try again

i've tried various other methods such as

125001
165001
172001
177001
that's already 4 bids, but he doesn't even accept 187,001 at this point

I also tried 2nd bid as 155001, he'll go for it from time to time but seems random

I'm sure I used to only pay about 40000 on the PS2. I also remember putting a lot into Yuna's Luck score

Yeah no, that's not true lol. You can't go below 125.001 in any way shape or form.

does it matter?, pay what he wants and kill every boss or troublesome whelp you face. Its a cheat aeon basicly.

Maybe cut every enemy in half (including bosses ) for 1000 gold: priceless.

I paid like 210k , all i had basicly. Im now at 700k, and training for final jecht boss, (dont know if he is final). Whats the need for more money?

It's a discussion because i'm curious, i have over a million gil. That's not really the point. BTW you shouldn't pay 1000 gil, it's 1024 unless you want your compatibility going down :/

Thats not true, depending on his Compatibility Level / Overdrive and the enemies Zanmato Level, you can pay him even 4 Gil and his Compatibility will still go up (he even can use Zanmato for the biggest increase of +4).

The Cheapest you can get him is if I remember 185.001 Gil or something, if he offers you this, you can 555003 Gil and you will get 2 Teleport Spheres on top, is it worth it tho? Not really imo.
Especially since it can take quite some tries to get him to exactly 185.001 Gil, I usualy just try to get him for 190.000~195.000 Gil, since it is easier to accomplish and doesn't need many Resets.

You can get 187,001, 100% of the time :/ but that's not true. It's a matter of luck at that point, at 4 gil he has a chance at using Daigoro which can decrease compatibility.

1024 is the minimum you can pay to not get Daigoro as a chance.

Wrong, as soon as you have a Compatibility of ~150 on Yojimbo, he will always go for a Kozuka Attack if you pay him ~32 Gil (maybe even works with less Gil), which does not give any Compatibility Points tho.

If the Enemy has a Zanmato Level of 1 for example and Yojimbos Compatibility is at ~200 and his OD is full, you can pay him 512 or 1024 (can't remember it) and he will always go for a Zanmato (with 255 Compatibility and full OD you only need 128 Gil or so vs Zanmato Level 1 enemies).

For more Informations, go to Gamefaqs and Check out the Yojimbo FAQ there.
