Characters becoming invisible.

So, I am playing FFX, and am having some issues. I have taken multiple screenshots of characters fazing into and out of reality, often just leaving their jewelry or bits of their clothing visible. How can I fix this? It certainly wasn't a problem that existed on console. It seems to only be in cutscenes, but it is really awkward.

Might be an issue with missing/damaged files. Run a file integrity check on Steam, sometimes Steam messes up files.

I already did. It changed nothing. Also, the sending scene in killika was just audio playing against a bright green screen.

System and settings and have you tried changing the settings?

Green screens are caused by a VRAM issue, people have reported numerous ways of fixing it. Frequently restarting the game can help, too.

I'm not sure what's behind the missing models. Are you using mods of any kind, including texture mods?

No mods at all. As to the models, I don't know. It's not that the characters are not there at all during cut scenes, just that they become visible and invisible as the cutscenes progress. Maybe it's tied to the camera during cutscenes? I don't even have any special in game options on. It is just standard gameplay. Unless you think the expert grid is somehow the problem? (It's the only thing that isn't just standard in the game, but I really don't think that could be it.)

The Expert grid is a regular game option, it doesn't magically make your characters disappear :P

Could be some kind of weird thing with your particular graphics setup, either software or hardware. Can't really tell how to fix it, unfortunately.

I'm having exactly the same issue in exactly the same places. Only thing I did was change my resolution to the highest setting. I'm going to try to change it back to see if it resolves, but it's mostly just annoying. Game seems to play fine otherwise... so far.

Seems to be an issue with AMD graphic cards. See this thread. Updating to the latest drivers seems to work, at least for some people.
