However, this version has little helpers you can activate as you please - things like speed increase, toggling random monster encounters on/off/frequent, automatic overdrive each turn, x99 of every item, and so on.
These are entirely optional - you can use them or not use them as you see fit. They also don't affect anything else in the game, including achievements. So if you really do feel like you're stuck, there's things you can do to help yourself out.
It also has a nifty time saving hack that gives all your party members the AP of each battle regardless of participation. (it still accounts for them being KO or petrified, though)
