Evrae help.
This guy is extremely annoying once he uses haste, because I basically have no recourse at that point. I read online slow is good for him, but I would have to grind a very long time to get slow for Tidus. Is there any way to kill him without it? Or is Slow a must to win? Right now I don't see a way to win against his haste. He just does too much damage too quick.

-edit I just beat him after making this thread. I used Tidus Overdrive attack and then used Rikku's spare change to kill him as soon as he hasted. Rip 60k gill.

if you dont have slow yet you are pretty under leveled , i would suggest grinding alot on the bevelle bridge before going to the front and fighting the boss

also theres a refight with evrae , if you are under leveled just use 2 phoenix downs , dont bother fighting him "normally"

I haven't done very much grinding, I've mostly been following the storyline doing most of the encounters I get along the way. I definitely will be doing grinding once I get a chance, Do you know where to get level 3 key spheres? I have 1 level 4 but I need level 3's..

you can get alot of level 3 key spheres from stealing from 2 bosses you meet later on , its a kimahri only fight so make sure he has steal also if you can , put master thief on his weapon , you get the items for that in a race near the calm lands ( under a temple) i think if you open 4 chests and win you get the items for it , if you have master thief every steal will be 2 level 3 spheres , not just 1 , also you should keep going even after you stole 1 time succesfully you can seal a lot of times it just takes patience , the bosses also are a way to obtain some missed lancet abilities , and the best part , they cant really harm you so its safe to steal from them for like 30 turns until you have enough level 3 key spheres

as far as i know the rate gets halved everytime

so first steal is a 100% guranteed level 3 or 2 level 3 ( if you have the ability ) then its 50% , then its 25% then its 12.5% 6,25% and so on , and thats per boss you steal from , so if you get 2 everytime you can easily get 15- 20 from that fight alone

did you beat him with phoenix downs ? the thing is , he has zombie state in that fight and zombies take huge damage from healing items

im not sure but maybe you dont need to grind , do you perhaps have a sphere that could activate steal ? according to the wiki page , you can activate them with special spheres too , one of them was inside of home , however you need kimahri and rikku both in the active party for that

Maybe it wasn't evrae, but it sure looked like him and he was using some of the same movies? I fought a dragon guy that looked like evrae under water. He killed rikku with stone gaze but I was able to beat him with just tidus and wakka, I was checking the sphere grid just now, I think I'm not underleveled I just went down the wrong path for Tidus?? I think I accidently took him down auron's path. My Tidus has the the most hp of any party member and I have sentinel, He does good damage too with brotherhood unless the enemy resists water damage.

I'm at right before the second Seymour fight but I'm grinding mobs on the path, since I know he's gonna be op as ♥♥♥♥. I'm thinking about backtracking my Tidus on the sphere grid so I can get slow. I've mostly been using, Tidus, Lulu and Yuna for my game, and some Auron,Kimhari and Rikku, Wakka is my most underused party member, but I've heard he can become insane op. He sucks ass in my game. Does ♥♥♥♥ damage and isn't very useful.

im not sure if thats the english name too but i think his name is evrae altana and its literally just whats left of evrae in zombie form more or less

wakka can be really good , did you perhaps send him onto a wrong path , because the way you make it sound , i think you use the expert spheregrid , i usually grind on that bridge until everyone is at the end of their normal section on the spheregrid ( quick hit for tidus , bribe for rikku , triple foul for wakka , flare / doublecast for lulu , holy for yuna and so on

I thought I selected standard but maybe not. Sounds like I screwed up all my characters altough I felt like I at least took Yuna and Lul down the right path? I might just restart the whole game now idk.. I will keep grinding and try to fix it hopefully.

Yeah I definitely went off the path for some characters... I'm in the calm lands now. I'm trying to grind to get the right stuff for my chars. I'm making Tidus, Auron, and Yuna my main party now with some Kimhari just for his scan, Lulu was good but she's starting to feel weak even with the ga spells.

This will change once you get Double Cast. That period is where Lulu is at her strongest, and able to put out a lot more damage than everyone else. Also don't discount Gravity! It's surprisingly effective against many enemies, especially for capturing.

Unfortunately, as brightly as she burns as quickly she dies down. For superbosses, black magic is practically useless.

now i feel stupid , i never thought about using gravity against monsters when capturing , i just armor break any magic monster that doesnt die in 1-2 hits but i never use magic once i have armor break ( if i want to capture )

tell me , does it work on the strong adamantoise or what the enemy is called in ffx in inside sin if yes then i really made those fights longer than they nneeded to be

VERY few non-boss enemies are immune to Gravity. Adamantoise is one of them, unfortunately (for tradition I suspect more than anything else, since it's always had the "heaviest monster on the planet" flavor in FF games and is immune to gravity effects as a result). Barbatos inside Sin, however, is NOT immune to gravity; neither are other titan-sized enemies such as Sandworms, or constructs like the various Defender-type robots. It even works against Master Tonberry, who is immune to gravity (or absorbs it) in most other FF games it's in.

Come to think of it, it's possible Adamantoise is the only non-boss enemy immune to gravity in FFX. Maybe Cactuars, too?

EDIT: Looked it up and sure enough, Cactuar is also immune.
